Angie (Johnson) Graves is turning 40 years old this year, and for her birthday she has asked her friends and family for one thing:

Donate $40 to Amigos de las Américas.

Angie (Johnson) Graves has been a part of the AMIGOS family since 1993 when she was a Seattle Chapter Volunteer in the Costa Rica program. She went on to serve as Route Leader in 1994, and as Senior Staff in 1995 and 1999. She has served as Training Director with the Seattle Chapter and spearheaded an effort to start a chapter in Los Angeles.  Angie sees her experiences with Amigos “as the biggest steps… challenging and life-changing.” Through training and collaborating on rural community projects in Latin America, “[she] was transformed.” Angie continued her dedication to AMIGOS by serving as a Regional Director for the AMIGOS professional team from 2000 to 2003. She is now on the International Board, sits on the Marketing Committee and Programs Committee and has also been a loyal donor over the years.

She has set a goal of raising $1600 for AMIGOS this year and has hit $654 so far! One of our other amazing alumni Jeanne (Lee) Sawyers has offered to MATCH the $1600 if Angie reaches her goal!

We are so proud to have alumni like Angie and Jeanne and want to thank them for all of her hard work and support over the years! They are truly living the lifelong mission of an AMIGO.

Visit Angie’s Give Big page to read more about her story and contribute to her birthday wish for AMIGOS!
