“My AMIGOS story is long! I began as a volunteer when I was 15 and culminated with Project Director in ten years later. AMIGOS has given me the opportunity to learn so much through experience, through conversation, through leadership and responsibility. During AMIGOS projects, I gained perspective about the Americas through learning another language and through getting to know both Latin Americans and US Americans. I am most thankful for the platform that AMIGOS has given me to talk to people I would not talk to otherwise, what a wealth of knowledge, culture and stories that have enriched my life.”
