Flashback to December 2019. Semester 1 cohort enjoying a lovely meal provided by Sophia at the most iconic location: La Paloma. While it was the end of the semester, it marked the start of a new beginning for beautiful members of the cohort.
Ellie enjoyed making empanadas with her host mom this week! #yum #empanadas #hostempanadas #uruguay #travel #gapyear
Excellent Xavier of Vermont blessed cohort members this week. Various cohort members (re: Silas) enjoyed showing the young Vermonster the ways and habits of Montevideano life. The connections formed with the protégée live.
Ella, Ellie, Nikhil, and Kiya traveled to Colonia for a thrilling day of adventure. They climbed to the top of a light house, saw a historic church, and ate lunch by the scenic Río de la Plata. #HostColonia #travel #gapyear #explore #uruguay
Once again, music is pulsing through the veins of Yearlong students’ Montevideano lives. Iconic yearlong trio Maddie, Liani, and Silas #theonesyoubringhometotheparents visited Estacion Central for a Philharmonic performance after a light feast. There, Maddie connected to her cello playing roots, Silas noticed a drone, and Liani learned about the devastating events of clapping during the music. This legendary group will continue to manifest power through music this semester. PC: Peter and Lisa Hallen
