Today June 29, 2015 we arrived at the Escuela Agrícola San Francisco and got settled down with a roomate in our dorms. After leaving our stuff in our rooms we got a tour around the school. After settling down, we took part in a shadow day for one of the activities the students in the self substained school are in charge of. These activities varied from Hotel, Agricultural, Animal, Planta Lactea, and general service work around the facility. What I chose to work in was the Animal work which varied from working with pigs, cows, birds, bunnies, or chickens. I worked specifically with the chickens in cleaning there coop, changing there water, and picking up there eggs. The activities that were done throughout the beggining of the day with shadowing one of the workers was important because it gave us the chance to experience something new and be apart of there community which I really enjoyed. The rest of the day was followed with different activities varying from CBI work to having free time. In our free time the Youth Ambassadors took part in a friendly soccer game against some of the alumni living in the school.
