Spend your summer on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, soaking up the sunshine and pushing yourself with a hands-on learning experience. As a participant in Barranquilla, you’ll choose whether you want to study Global Health or International Development. After a two-week course at Universidad del Norte, you’ll get to put your lessons into action in a nearby community while also taking in the lively culture that Colombia has to offer. College only.
Study on the Caribbean coast of Colombia and go beyond the classroom to create impactful partnerships in local nonprofits or health clinics. Enroll in a 2 week intensive course alongside Colombian students at Universidad del Norte. Choose between Global Health or International Development and then spend six weeks in practicum while living with a host family and experiencing the local culture.

Univoluntarios is the volunteer group at UniNorte that promotes volunteer opportunities and social engagement.
UniNorte provides courses in participants’ selected track and helps with the selection of host communities. Other partners include Hospital Universidad del Norte and the Puesto de Salud de Salgar.
