At AMIGOS, we work with universities, high schools, middle schools, nonprofits, government organizations, and corporations that share our vision to see young people build global competency and leadership skills. Students receive AMIGOS leadership training and join one of our projects in Latin America. Discounted pricing is available for partners.
AMIGOS partners with high schools, middle schools and universities to co-create and operate programs for students in the region of the Americas. Each partner brings unique goals, and our team works to design and operate a custom program to achieve them.
Since our founding, we have been committed to making our programs accessible to students and their families. We partner with schools and nonprofit organizations to offer fully or partially sponsored placements on our programs. We also seek individual, corporate and foundation partners who can invest to offer more teens these transformational experiences.
AMIGOS programs are rooted in partnership with community development organizations who share the belief that young people don’t need to wait to make an impact. Our partners range from government ministries, local agencies and civil society organizations, to global development organizations.

If you’re looking for a program abroad for your group, consider leveraging the 60+ years of operational expertise that AMIGOS has in Latin America. Our year-round in-country staff, relationships with local agencies, and extensive knowledge of the region uniquely position us to build custom-tailored programs. We will work with you to create the best program for your group, whether during the winter, spring, or summer breaks.
We create programs designed to develop young people’s leadership skills, commitment to community service, and cross-cultural competence. We can include training modules, educational workshops and panels, excursions, community service, overnight homestays, and guided reflection. Read more about our approach.

Individual Sponsorship: We work with high schools, middle schools, universities, and nonprofits to sponsor or co-sponsor students in our open enrollment programs. AMIGOS works to secure funding from individuals and grant-makers.
Grant Funded Programs: In recent years, AMIGOS has partnered with grant-making organizations who fully or partially underwrite different AMIGOS programs, offering full financial awards or lowering the cost of participation significantly.
Local Chapter Support: AMIGOS’ local Chapters work to lower the cost of participation in our programs for all families through group fundraising and financial assistance.

At the very heart of our program model, partner agencies are local organizations in our host countries that share our goal to engage young people as leaders and global citizens. We have built strong relationships with a network of partner agencies across the Americas over our 62-year history.
These partners amplify our impact, and we amplify theirs. We work together to develop region-specific work plans, incorporating our partners’ organizational goals into our programs. Our partners help us consider community interests, identify host families and communities, and monitor safety in the region. They are critical to the success and sustainability of our work.
