National Chapter: Gifts support the AMIGOS Annual Fund, which provides financial assistance to students across the country.

Amigos de las Americas is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and your donation is generally tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt via email for your records, which you can use when filing your taxes.
We recommend consulting your tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation, as deductibility may depend on factors such as the type of donation and your individual tax circumstances.

To help us process your gift correctly, please include a note with your name, mailing address, and email (in case we have questions or need to send a receipt). If your gift is in honor or memory of someone, please note that as well. You will receive a tax receipt by mail or email once your donation is recorded.
Yes! In addition to online donations and checks, there are many ways to support AMIGOS.
- Monthly/recurring giving – Set up an automatic monthly donation to provide sustained support throughout the year.
- Stock and securities – Donating appreciated stock can offer tax advantages over giving cash. Contact us at impact@amigosinternational.org for transfer instructions.
- Employer matching gifts – Many companies match employee donations, sometimes doubling or tripling your impact. Check with your HR department to see if your employer participates.
- Donor-advised funds (DAFs) – If you have a donor-advised fund, you can recommend a grant to Amigos de las Américas directly through your fund provider.
- In-kind donations – We also accept gifts of goods or services. Please contact us at 713-782-5290 to discuss what’s currently needed.
- Planned giving / legacy gifts – Include Amigos de las Americas in your will or estate plans to leave a lasting impact. Contact us for sample bequest language.
- Fundraise on our behalf – Start a personal fundraising page for your birthday, a special event, or just because, and invite friends and family to give.
