Picture this: mountains that are green, chickens that only have feathers on their backs, and mangoes ripening on trees.
Welcome to Panama, also known as the AMIGOS life. So far, we have gone on hikes, eaten a bunch of rice, and of course, lived with host families. Our projects in community have ranged from gardens, to signs, to adding trash cans to canchas.
As each day goes by, us AMIGOS participants have been learning the norms. One of my favorite parts in community so far has been going to play with kids and giving out stickers. This experience here in Panama has been amazing and I can’t wait for the next weeks to come.
