Apply
Complete the online application, which takes about 30 minutes, and pay the deposit to hold your spot.
The Local Chapter application deadline is January 20.
Note: National Chapter application and financial assistance deadlines vary by program. Check individual program pages for details.
Early Bird Discount
Apply early and save $500 on your 2027 program fees! Submit your application by October 30, 2026 and get a head start on planning your AMIGOS summer.
Financial Assistance
Select the financial assistance option in your application if you plan to apply. You’ll need to submit income documentation by the financial assistance deadline. Additional instructions are included in the application.

Application Timeline
Local Chapter and National Chapter applications follow different timelines. Local Chapter applications open early in the school year and run through the January 20 deadline. National Chapter applications are accepted throughout the school year until sessions are full. Note that some programs can fill as early as December/January, regardless of whether you choose to join a Local Chapter or the National Chapter. We always recommend applying as soon as you can to secure a space.
What is a Chapter?
AMIGOS offers two ways to prepare for your transformative service and immersion experience: through a Local Chapter or the National Chapter. The chapter you choose shapes the activities and preparation you take part in before departure and may also affect the cost of your summer program.
All participants ages 13–19 are eligible to join through the National Chapter. Participants joining programs for ages 15–19 may also join through a Local Chapter if one is available in their area.
