Dr. Sara Cody and her team in Santa Clara County were the first in the U.S. to order a lockdown to stem the spread of COVID-19.
Dr. Cody volunteered with AMIGOS in Mexico in 1981. She shared with us that the difficult decision to order a county-wide lockdown was an extremely collaborative process and she credits her strong team for making a swift decision in order to save lives.
