Did you love your AMIGOS experience and want to share it with others? Are you excited to stay connected with AMIGOS and your fellow alumni? Do you want to continue to develop your communication and leadership skills? Then the AMIGOS Alumni Ambassador Program is a great fit for you!

What It Is

The Alumni Ambassador Program is a virtual program for recent AMIGOS alumni that allows you to continue to build your leadership skills while staying engaged with the AMIGOS community both locally and nationally. You’ll work with your fellow alumni across the country to spread the word about AMIGOS and increase the presence of AMIGOS in your area! As a companion program to the AMIGOS Alumni Referral Program, you can earn bonuses and program discounts for every student you refer who becomes a volunteer.

What You’ll Do

As an AMIGOS Alumni Ambassador, you will receive support with any of the following outreach activities:

  • Giving a presentation about your AMIGOS experience at school
  • Setting up a table at a school fair or event
  • Speaking about your experience at a national or local info session
  • Creating a TikTok video or posting on social media
  • Writing a newspaper article
  • Sharing your experience with a prospective family
  • Hosting an Alumni Presentation Training Event
  • Organizing an approved Alumni Event
  • Coordinating a pre-departure picnic for new volunteers in National Chapter areas
  • And more!

Minimum Program Requirements

  • Complete an online application
  • Attend an Alumni Ambassador training via Zoom (or watch the recording)
  • Notify AMIGOS staff of your planned activity
  • Complete at least one of the approved Alumni Ambassador activities
  • Share the details of your completed activity through the Alumni Ambassador Activity Report and upload leads collected

Who Can Join?

AMIGOS is seeking all alumni who:

  • Have completed at least one AMIGOS summer program in good standing
  • Are 15-22 years old
  • Have the availability to meet and complete the minimum required program activities (about 5 hours total)
  • Can communicate positively about AMIGOS
  • Are interested in getting more teens involved with AMIGOS!

2025-2026 Cohort Schedule

The Alumni Ambassador Program is designed to fit into your busy schedule! You can fulfill the minimum program requirements or continue to engage with the program for added rewards, bonuses, and leadership experience!

The 2025-2026 Alumni Ambassador cohort will kick off with a virtual training on October 15, 2025. Based on the availability of the group, we will schedule some virtual Alumni Roundups throughout the year to connect, share your experiences, and inspire each other!

If you miss the October 15 kickoff training, AMIGOS will continue to onboard qualified new alumni on a rolling basis throughout the year.
