Conservation and Climate Change

Water, air, and soil are elements that we all need to live. Climate change is increasing, and it is a problem that is battering the Earth every single day, it is necessary to act immediately.
What motivates you to be part of the program of Conservation and Climate Change?
Marina S.: Conservation is very important to me because the flora and fauna are important. It is our planet and we need to preserve our resources. It is important to learn how a lot of our actions affect the world and the environment. Also, spending time with other cultures is important to me.
Why do you think young people should be more involved in environmental issues?
Marina S.: It is important because we are the future. The past generations left a lot of damage and, we should try to improve the planet’s health for the next generations.
Jade B.: I think that is the most important because our generation is going to be the next wave of leaders and it is completely necessary to conserve the planet so that our children can have a good quality of life.
Education is the most important thing that a lot of humans have and, that is the reason why environmental education in the 21st century has become something vital.
How important is environmental conservation to you?
Jade B.: I think it is very important because we need to conserve so we can survive and, it is not good to have a contaminated environment.
It is important that the youth be aware of this topic because our very lives are at risk, and it is important that humans start to see ourselves as part of nature and understand that we are not superior. We have to understand that everything is a cycle, the resources are finite and, it is in our hands to save the planet and each living thing on the Earth.
Conservación y Cambio Climático
El agua, el aire y la tierra, son elementos que todos los seres vivos necesitamos para vivir. El cambio climático va en aumento y es un problema que va azotando al planeta cada día que pasa, por lo que es necesario actuar y tomar medidas ahora.
¿Qué te motivo a ser parte del Programa de Conservación y Cambio Climático?
Marina S.: La conservación es muy importante para mi, ya que la flora y la fauna es importante, es nuestro planeta y necesitamos preservar los recursos que tenemos y es importante aprender como afectan al mundo nuestras acciones.
¿Qué opinas acerca de que los jóvenes se involucren más en temas ambientales?
Marina S.: Es importante porque somos el futuro, ya que las generaciones pasadas dejaron mucho daño y debemos intentar mejorar la salud del planeta para futuras generaciones.
Jade B.: Creo que es lo más importante, ya que nuestra generación va a ser la próxima ola de líderes y es completamente necesario conservar el planeta para que nuestros hijos puedan tener una buena calidad de vida.
La educación es de las cosas más importantes que tenemos los seres humanos y por eso la educación ambiental en el siglo XXI se ha convertido en algo sumamente vital.
¿Qué tan importante es para ti la conservación ambiental?
Jade B.: Yo creo que es muy importante ya que necesitamos conservar para sobrevivir y no es bueno tener un ambiente contaminado.
Es importante que los jóvenes estén interesados y que conozcan de este tema, ya que la vida misma esta en riesgo y sobre todo es muy importante que los seres humanos nos comencemos a ver como parte de la naturaleza y entender que no somos superiores a ella. Entender que todo es un ciclo, que los recursos son finitos y que está en nuestras manos salvar a nuestro planeta y a todos los que vivimos en él.
