La Costa: Rio Muchacho

Es emocionante participar de este programa, ya que estamos viviendo experiencias nuevas y maravillosas con personas de diferentes idiomas y culturas. Nuestro primer día en Rio Muchacho fue asombroso, puesto que tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer el lugar con un sendero autoguiado, el mismo nos permitió observar todos los espacios ecológicos. Darío, el dueño del lugar, nos brindó información valiosa como la vida del árbol mata palo y el ceibo, también nos habló sobre el baño seco y reglas para una sana convivencia en el espacio que nos encontramos. Por el resto de los días nos conocimos mediante juegos que nos ayudaron a saber más sobre la cultura, los valores, los gustos, la música, la personalidad y la información personal de cada uno de los voluntarios; también visitamos las cascadas de la comunidad de Rio Muchacho y tuvimos un momento de Tech time para comunicarnos con nuestras familias y amigos. Una de las cosas que más nos gusta de Rio Muchacho es compartir la cabaña con nuestras compañer@s y asi mismo la comida es deliciosa!
It’s exciting to participate in this program since we are able to have new and incredible experiences with people from different cultures and languages. Our first day in Rio Muchacho was amazing as we had the opportunity to get to know a new place with a self-guided tour, which allowed us to observe all the ecologically conscious locations around the farm. Darío, the owner of the farm, taught us valuable information about the life of the arbol mata palo (the tree killing tree) and the ceibo tree. He also talked to us about the dry bathrooms and the rules to live safely in Rio Muchacho. For the rest of the days, we got to know more about the cultures, values, music tastes, personality, and the personal information about all the other volunteers through games and activities. We also visited the waterfalls from the local community of Rio Muchacho and had a moment of ‘Tech Time’ to communicate with our families and friends! One of the best parts about Rio Muchacho is being able to share a cabin with our friends while enjoying the delicious food!
