LAUREN GLASER
My name is Lauren Glaser and I am the Project Director for the summer 2021 program in Nicaragua. I am originally from Boston, but I earned my B.A. in Spanish at the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
I really enjoy working with young adults, as well as exposing myself to new cultures. As such, I am looking forward to a meaningful and exciting summer in Nicaragua with all of our volunteers.

Además de viajar, me gusta mucho apoyar a adultos jóvenes a desarrollar sus capacidades y compartir mi pasión por viajar. Espero poder pasar un verano significativo con todos los voluntarios.

Acerca de mí, soy de Masaya, una ciudad pequeña en el pacífico de Nicaragua, pero con mucha riqueza cultural.
me apasiona poder ayudar de cualquier forma a mejorar el ambiente ene l cual vivimos, mis pasatiempos son salir a explorar nuevos lugares con amigos y hacer ejercicio cada que se puede.
My name is Jonathan Grande and I will be the program coordinator for this summer 2021 with AMIGOS in Nicaragua.
About me, I am from Masaya, a small city in the Pacific side of Nicaragua that has a lot of cultural richness.
I am passionate about being able to help in any way to improve the environment in which we live, my hobbies are going out to explore new places with friends and exercising whenever possible.

Mi nombre es Juan Carlos Santovenia Morales, tengo 29 años, nacido en Cuba y criado en León Santiago de los Caballeros, la ciudad universitaria.
AMIGOS para mi reúne muchas de las cosas que sé que nos ayudan a crecer como personas en muchos niveles y áreas y a la vez colaborar con distintas comunidades y personas excepcionales.

AMIGOS brings together many of the things that I know that help us to grow as people at many levels and areas and at the same time collaborate with different communities and exceptional people.
Ella Carr
Hello! My name is Ella Carr and I will be the Health and Wellness Coordinator on staff this summer. I am from Austin, Texas, and I completed my bachelor’s degree at Louisiana State University. At LSU, I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology, with minors in Spanish and social work. I have traveled to many countries in Central and South America, and have met some amazing people. I have never been to Nicaragua, so I am very thankful to be able to experience Nicaragua for the first time with a staff that has such a positive perspective of the country.
¡Hola! Me llamo Ella Carr y seré la Coordinadora de Salud y Bienestar del personal este verano. Soy de Austin, Texas, y me gradué de la Universidad Estatal de Louisiana. En LSU, obtuve mi licenciatura en psicología, con menores de español y trabajo social. He viajado a muchos países de América Central y del Sur y he conocido a gente increíble.
Nunca he estado en Nicaragua, por lo que estoy muy agradecido de poder experimentar Nicaragua por primera vez con un personal que tiene una perspectiva tan positiva del país.
