Hello! My name is Evelyn. I am the Project Director for the Costa Rica: Los Santos Project and I’m so excited to be starting this journey with you.

I am a psychologist from Costa Rica and have a lot of experience working on community development and cultural immersion programs from organizations like the Red Cross and Peace Corps. I am very passionate about development in any way, community, professional, but mostly personal, and firmly believe that the best way to understand and learn something is by experiencing it.

Along with me, there will be three other people who will also be accompanying volunteers in this experience.

Helen will be our health and safety coordinator. Originally from North Carolina, Helen has a degree in Human Biology, a minor in Spanish, and hopes to go to graduate school for physical therapy. Helen enjoys roller skating and playing the guitar.

Cecilia is from Connecticut. She has a degree in international relations and has been working in education for six years. She is also passionate about women’s rights and environmental sustainability but is looking forward to learning more about our project.

Last but not least, Shayan is from Oakland, California and he is currently studying environmental science. Shayan has experience working with AMIGOS as a supervisor in Mexico.

We have been working on creating an agenda that offers you many opportunities to learn and have fun, and we cannot wait for you to come and begin our adventure.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Evelyn. Soy la directora de este programa y estoy muy emocionada de comenzar este viaje contigo.
Soy psicóloga, de Costa Rica y tengo una gran experiencia trabajando en programas de desarrollo comunitario e inmersión cultural con organizaciones como Cruz Roja y Cuerpo de Paz. Me apasiona el desarrollo en cualquiera de sus formas, ya sea comunitario, profesional pero sobre todo personal, y creo firmemente que la mejor forma de entender y aprender algo es experimentándolo.

Junto a mí, habrá otras tres personas que también te acompañarán en esta experiencia.

Helen será nuestra coordinadora de salud y seguridad. Originaria de Carolina del Norte, Helen tiene una maestría en Biología Humana, una especialización en español y espera poder realizar un posgrado en fisioterapia. A Helen le gusta patinar y tocar la guitarra.

Cecilia es de Connecticut. Tiene una licenciatura en relaciones internacionales y ha trabajado en educación durante seis años. También le apasionan los derechos de las mujeres y la sostenibilidad ambiental, pero espera aprender más sobre nuestro proyecto.

Por último, pero no menos importante, Shayan es de Oakland, California y actualmente está estudiando ciencias ambientales. Shayan tiene experiencia trabajando con AMIGOS como supervisor en México.

Juntos, hemos estado trabajando en la creación de una agenda que te ofrezca muchas oportunidades para aprender y divertirte, y estamos deseosos de qué vengas para que comencemos nuestra aventura.
