Un saludo desde Penonomé

 

Hello everyone! Welcome to your weekly blog, Miguel greets you from Penonomé. This week we had the briefing, and it was a spectacular experience. Our volunteers arrived in Panama City and after a restful night we went to the Episcopal Camp to have our expected briefing. At first the volunteers were shy, but we managed to form an amazing group. We had activities all week and each one of the volunteers contributed to all the activities. Eva, Miguel, Benedetta and Ricardo were in charge of all the activities and explained to the volunteers everything they needed to know regarding the AMIGOS rules.

¡Hola a todos! Bienvenidos a su blog semanal, les saluda Miguel desde Penonomé. Esta semana tuvimos el briefing y fue una experiencia espectacular. Nuestros voluntarios llegaron a Ciudad de Panamá y después de una noche de descanso fuimos al Campamento Episcopal para tener nuestro esperado briefing. Al principio, los voluntarios estaban tímidos, pero logramos formar un grupo increíble. Tuvimos actividades toda la semana y cada uno de los voluntarios aportaron en todas las actividades. Eva, Miguel, Benedetta y Ricardo estuvieron al frente de todas las actividades y explicaron a los voluntarios todo lo que debían saber con respecto a las normas de AMIGOS. 

 

The volunteers enjoyed the beach and created bonds that will help them cope with their stay in the communities. At the end of the briefing, the volunteers do not see the communities as a challenge, but as an experience and an opportunity to be leaders, generate change and understand the realities of rural communities in Panama.

Los voluntarios disfrutaron de la playa y crearon vínculos que les ayudarán a enfrentar su estadía en las comunidades. Al final del briefing los voluntarios no ven a las comunidades como un reto, sino como una experiencia y una oportunidad para ser líderes, generar un cambio y entender las realidades de las comunidades rurales de Panamá.
