¡Hola! Me llamo Sebastian, y soy un participante en el programa de Los Santos. Hasta ahora, me he divertido con las actividades que hemos hecho. Viajamos a Cedrela Eco-Lodge el miércoles por la mañana, y organizamos nuestros cuartos. El Eco-Lodge es muy chevere. Siente realmente como si estás en la selva con todos los sonidos que oigas y todavía es muy cómodo (y además, ¡la comida es tan buena!). Hay un sendero alrededor del Eco-Lodge de tres kilómetros que entra a la selva bella para que lo puedas ver para ti mismo. Ayer, el viernes, visitamos el parque nacional de los Quetzales para caminar por los senderos allí, y aunque no nos encontramos un quetzal, la naturaleza era muy bella y vimos muchas cosas interesantes. ¡Me he divertido bastante aquí y espero que lo que queda del programa sea divertido también! Ahora aquí está Pablo, uno de los dos ticos en el programa, para decirles cómo ha sido su experiencia.
Hello! My name is Sebastian, and I am a volunteer in the Los Santos Program. So far, I have had fun with the activities that we have done. We traveled to Cedrela Eco-Lodge on Wednesday morning and organized our rooms. The Eco-Lodge is very cool. It really feels like you are in the jungle with all the sounds you hear and it is still very comfortable (and besides, the food is so good!). There is a three-kilometer trail around the Eco-Lodge that enters the beautiful jungle so you can see it for yourself. Yesterday, on Friday, we visited the Quetzal National Park to walk the trails there, and although we did not find a quetzal, the nature was very beautiful and we saw many interesting things. I’ve had a lot of fun here and I hope the remainder of the show is fun too!
¡Hola! Me llamo Pablo, y soy un participante tico en el programa. Definitivamente me he divertido mucho durante los días en los que he estado aquí, he ganado nuevas perspectivas sobre Costa Rica. Soy de San José y normalmente no vengo mucho a la montaña, el estar aquí me recuerda lo bello que es mi país y es una de las cosas que me hace sentir más orgulloso de ser Tico. Además los participantes son muy linda gente y el lugar en que nos estamos quedando tiene unos senderos muy lindos, justo hoy mientras estaba caminando en los senderos junto Sebastian, Matthew y Bear encontramos un insecto de un color celeste fosforescente, casi neón, y por un momento sentí que estaba en una película de ciencia ficción, esa magia de la naturaleza y los buenos amigos es lo que quiero que permanezca durante el resto del programa.
Hello! My name is Pablo, and I am a volunteer. I have definitely had a lot of fun during the days I have been here, I have gained new perspectives on Costa Rica. I am from San José and normally I do not come to the mountains much, being here reminds me how beautiful my country is and it is one of the things that makes me feel most proud of being a Tico. In addition, the other volunteers are very nice people and the place where we are staying has some very nice trails, just today while I was walking on the trails with Sebastian, Matthew, and Bear we found an insect of a phosphorescent blue color, almost neon, and for a moment I felt like I was in a science fiction movie, that magic of nature and good friends is what I want to stay for the rest of the show.
¡Hola! Me llamo Matthew (Mateo), y soy un participante en el programa de Amigos en Costa Rica Los Santos. Me siento muy alegre y feliz porque mi grupo ha caminado en la caminata aquí en Cedrela Lodge y era muy divertido. También, visitamos el parque nacional de los Quazelas y era muy maravilloso con la naturaleza. Durante la caminata me sentí muy cansado pero estaba muy contento y feliz porque hablé con mis amigos y conocí a nueves personas. Además, yo pensé que iba extrañar mi familia cuando viajé a Costa Rica, pero con conocer a Sebastian y Pablo, me sentí mejor y ellos me ayudaron con este obstáculo que iba a tener. Sin embargo, mi tiempo con el programa de Amigos y estar aquí en Costa Rica es una nueva experiencia y espero tomar muchísimos fotos para recordar con este programa. Gracias!
Hello! My name is Matthew (Mateo), and I am a volunteer. I feel very joyful and happy because my group has hiked the trek here at Cedrela Lodge and it was a lot of fun. Also, we visited the Quetzales National Park and it was very wonderful with nature. During the walk, I felt very tired but I was very happy because I spoke with my friends and met nine people. Also, I thought I was going to miss my family when I traveled to Costa Rica, but with meeting Sebastian and Pablo, I felt better and they helped me with this obstacle. However, my time with the AMIGOS program and being here in Costa Rica is a new experience and I hope to take many, many photos to remember with this program. Thanks!
