2023 NYC Marathon and Team AMIGOS

AMIGOS participated in the TCS NYC Marathon for the first time in 2023 as a charity partner. The marathon challenges all charity runners to push beyond their limits and to make an impact within their community. Team AMIGOS was comprised of five runners who raised more than $20,000 for AMIGOS programs!

AMIGOS hopes to participate in the 2024 TCS New York City marathon. Stay tuned for more information about the race and our participation in spring 2024. In the meantime, meet the 2023 team and learn more about why they ran for AMIGOS!

Team AMIGOS 2023

 

Andrew Haas, Alum and Board Member

Hometown: Armonk, NY

  Andrew was inspired to run his 4th NYC Marathon with Team AMIGOS to help strengthen AMIGOS as it celebrates its 60th year of programs. 

 

Kirsten Saenz Tobey, Alum and Board Member

Hometown: Berkeley, CA

Kristen is running to support AMIGOS and now as a member of the Board of Directors, she was excited at the opportunity to run with Team AMIGOS!

 

Kerry Dudman, Alum

Hometown: Santiago, Chile

 This is Kerry’s third marathon, but the first one that she truly feels prepared for, and she is excited to run in an intentional and meaningful way that allows her to give back to AMIGOS. 

 

Sara Love, Chapter Leader and AMIGOS Parent

Hometown: Portland, OR

Sara is thankful to the AMIGOS organization for the amazing opportunities they provide youth in Latin America as well as all the campaign donors for the NYC Marathon team. 

 

Mira Reichman, Alum

Hometown: Seattle, WA

Mira is thrilled to be running her first NYC Marathon in support of AMIGOS. She believes passionately in the mission of AMIGOS and its power to inspire young people to develop as compassionate leaders and global citizens.
