We want everyone passionate about AMIGOS to have access to our program. There are many options for funding your AMIGOS trip, and our staff will work with you to make it happen. Here’s how:
AMIGOS offers flexible payment plans. If you are unable to pay our program fee at once- that’s OK! We ensure our participants can pay for their experience on their own schedule, as long as the full payment is received by the final payment date.

How will financial aid distribution be determined?
The AMIGOS Headquarters staff will decide distribution based on need demonstrated by the financial aid application and commitment to the program.
How soon will I be notified of my financial aid status?
We will be informing our applicants of their financial aid status no more than two weeks after the application deadline.
I cannot afford to volunteer without financial aid, what if I don’t receive enough (or any) financial aid to fund my summer? Can I get a refund?
We do not currently have a significant amount of financial aid to distribute, thus your participation in our programs should not be dependent on receiving this aid. We highly encourage our participants to fundraise to offset the cost and we provide a comprehensive toolkit with strategies and tips for successful fundraising.

You may contact your assigned Admissions Officer for more information about the financial aid process and policy.
Keep in mind that AMIGOS is a nonprofit organization, and your program fee funds community development projects in Latin America, leadership training for youth across the Americas, and administrative costs that keep our organization running!
